Senior Pastor

Eastville Baptist Church, is seeking a full-time pastor.  The ideal candidate should have a focus on Bible centered preaching that serves new and seasoned Christians alike.  Eastville Baptist has been in operation since the late 1800s, and our current church family is a friendly, community-based group of Believers.  We desire for our next pastor to be a highly relational person gifted in leading and discipling others.  We would also like him to be active in our community, participate in our outreach programs, help lead the ministries already in place, help further develop our youth programs and music ministry.  The ideal candidate should have a Seminary degree, be theologically moderate, and have the necessary experience to minister to the needs of our Baptist church family and the community.

Grassfield Baptist Church,  is seeking a Senior Pastor to serve as a spiritual and pastoral leader of the Church.  The Pastor has control of the pulpit ministry and administering the ordinances.  The Pastor proclaims the Gospel, teaches God’s truths, and shepherds the congregation.  The Pastor exercises general oversight of the church, pointing it towards fulfillment of the Great Commission.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.    Carry out the vision, purpose, and ministries of Grassfield Baptist Church.

2.    Conduct religious services on stated and special occasions.  Prepare and deliver sermons, lead the ordinances, and oversee planning of worship services.

3.    Direct the staff and guide the lay leaders in caring for the sick, shut-ins, elderly and bereaved.

4.    Initiate visitation of church members and prospects, especially members in hospitals, home bound, and nursing homes.

5.    Keep predictable office hours and be available on a reasonable basis.

6.    Develop a close working relationship with the Deacons, Sunday School workers, committee leaders, officers, and staff.

7.    Encourage stewardship and missions support.

8.    Be the administrative head of the Church.  Direct the church offices and supervise church employees in accordance with Church policies

9.    Attend Business Meetings, Church Council, and Deacons Meetings.  The Pastor is an ex-officio member of all committees, offering advice and expertise as needed.  A bi-vocational Pastor is not expected to attend every committee meeting.

10.  Be a part of the Youth program.

11.  Provide opportunities for believers and non-believers to respond to Christ, equipping them to grow in their relationship and service to God.

12.  Interview and Baptize persons professing faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

13.  Perform weddings, funerals, and counseling as needed and within Church guidelines

14.  Coordinate attendance at Association, State, or other denominational meetings as necessary as a Church representative.

15.  Provide for pulpit supply when absent and arrange for workers to assist in revival meetings and special services.

16.  Maintain personal free time for self and his family.

17.  Perform other duties in accordance with the calling, ordination, and Holy Scriptures.

18.  Adhere to the Constitution and Bylaws of Grassfield Baptist Church.

Skills/Qualifications Required:

Graduate of an accredited theological seminary with Master of Divinity (M. Div).  Exemplify a mature Christ-like character with integrity, sensitivity, compassion, and individual discipleship.  Be able to deal effectively and diplomatically with a wide variety of individuals.  Possess good time management, communications, and planning skills.   Have strong attention to details and the ability to follow through, while shifting rapidly between numerous unrelated tasks.  Be able to initiate action and deliver results.  Energy, judgment, confidentiality, and pleasant personality are essential.

Iron Horse Fellowship,  is seeking a Senior Pastor. 

Mission Statement: The Iron Horse Fellowship is a church of bikers, friends, and family who are committed to worshipping God, making disciples and serving Christ through relationships, outreach, and community service.  We exist to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ who go and make disciples.  "I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Pastor Role:  The Pastor is clergy with a license to practice who has been called by God and elected by the Board of Elders and Deacons. (Core Team) to be responsible for the duties of teacher, preacher, and spiritual leader until such time that the relationship is terminated.  The Pastor shall also fulfill such other roles and responsibilities as are slate in the Iron Horse Fellowship (IHF) Bylaws and the polices of the church.

Qualifications:  The qualifications for this position come directly from Scripture:

1. 1 Timothy 3: 1-7

2. Titus 1:6-9

3. Preferred higher education required from an accredited institution

4. Preferred one or more years of pastoral experience

Responsibilities:  The Pastor shall have authority for:

1. Ordering all worship services of the church.

2. Determining when other worship services will be held, subject to the approval of The Board of Elders and Deacons. (Core Team)

3. Appointing compensated and uncompensated church staff, subject to the approval of The Board of Elders and Deacons (Core Team).

4. Determining compensation, vacation periods, and titles of office of the church staff, subject to the approval of The Board of Elders and Deacons (Core Team).

5. The Pastor shall serve as a voting member of The Board of Elders and Deacons.

6. Moderator of the Board of Elders and Deacons, and of Congregational meetings.

7. Personnel Director, and as

Mineral Baptist Church is seeking a Senior Pastor. 

Primary duties and responsibilities:

• The Senior Pastor is the spiritual leader of the church and is responsible for leading the Church to function as a New Testament Church, aligning with church vision, mission and strategic plan. He will lead the Church to function as a fellowship of believers involved in worship, prayer, proclamation, religious education, ministry, discipleship training and application of spiritual truths to daily life.

• He will facilitate up to two or more Sunday services each week, as well as Bible study on Wednesdays.

• He will be a faithful student of the Bible and as a preacher/teacher to present well organized, Bible-based sermons and lessons that edify, challenge and encourage the church, as well as promote the passionate worship of God.

• The Senior Pastor will be responsible for general supervision of staff and office personnel; he will be an ex-officio member of all teams and the deacon body; he will provide guidance and oversight in a manner that encourages all committees, ministry leaders and staff to develop wisdom in decision making, and to grow in independence, leadership and discipleship.

• The Senior Pastor will arrange for, or designate, pulpit supply and Church leadership when away, utilizing the talents of ministry staff when appropriate.

• The Senior Pastor will work with the deacon committee, ministry leaders, staff and designated congregation members to assess vision and develop and implement an annual strategic plan, anticipating future needs and growth.

• The Senior Pastor will administer the believer’s baptism, communion, funerals, weddings, and child dedications; provide pastoral care, counseling, homebound, and hospital visits.

• The Senior Pastor will work with church members and attendees to help them identify how they can utilize their gifts to serve the Lord within the church and in missions and ministry.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Theology in alignment with the inerrant and uncompromised Word of God. • A male Southern Baptist Minister, in good standing.

• Master’s Degree from an accredited seminary or divinity school – Southern Baptist preferred.

• Minimum requirement of 7 years of experience as a full-time ministry leader; 10+ years preferred.

Position: Full-Time Custodian


Responsibilities:

- The following is a partial list of the job duties.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all areas within the church, including sanctuaries, classrooms, offices, fellowship hall, bathrooms, and foyers.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, and ensuring all fixtures and facilities are in good working condition.
- Set up and break down furniture and equipment for events and meetings.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Ensure trash and recycling are properly managed and disposed of.
- Respond promptly to urgent cleaning and maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with church staff to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all congregants and visitors.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of custodial and maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and best practices.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

1.     Manage church calendar and schedules including Deacon Schedules,

        site reservations, baptisms, dedications, and Pastor’s schedule.

2.     Manage and communicate in-office staff schedules.

3.     Manage/update church membership and attendance rolls in database.

4.     Provide deacons with new member kits.

5.     Create/manage on-site publication of all events and services (funerals,   

        dedications, baptisms, announcements, publications, etc)

6.     Purchase, manage, and organize office supplies, Sunday School class

        materials, Lord’s Supper Committee materials, etc.  Ensure staff kitchen

        is stocked with supplies.

7.     Manage/maintain/issue church property keys.

8.     Interface with various community groups including social services,

        security firms, area churches, vendors, church committees, members,

        and volunteers. 

9.   Perform clerical/administrative duties (answer phone, type correspondence,

        make copies, file, serve as office receptionist, oversee volunteers).

10.   Perform other duties as assigned.

 

SKILL AND ABILITIES:

  •   Must possess excellent interpersonal and relational skills, be a

team player, and use tact/diplomacy/sensitivity/discretion.

  •   Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  •   Must have experience using office equipment such as copier and

      postage meters.

  •   Must have a working knowledge of Servant Keeper or similar in-office.​
