2025 Spring Mission Project
Our 2025 Spring Mission Project is two-fold: send much-needed help to the victims of the California Wildfires and give appreciation gifts to local firefighters for their work in protecting our communities.
California Fire Victim Support, Part One
The news headlines and stories surrounding the devastation and disastrous consequences of the wildfires in the Los Angeles area have left all of us ‘stunned’ by how massive the fires became as the Santa Anna winds blew in from the west. Homes and businesses from every income level were burned to the ground in such a large area; those faced with cleaning up and rebuilding need help from caring people around the nation.
Let’s show our love and compassion by raising funds to send to the local association of churches to distribute to families and churches who are in immediate need of help. The local association of churches in Los Angeles is involved in purchasing hazmat gear for families, first responders and disaster relief workers who have to ‘suit up’ to return to the dangerous chemical and asbestos toxicity resulting from the fires. They are providing meals to families and workers, paying for people to stay in temporary housing in the short term and training teams to go in and assist with the cleanup.
We helped the people of Maui when their city burned to the ground; we have helped the North Carolina victims of Hurricane Helene. Now we have this opportunity to join together and send assistance to these who have basically lost everything.

Gift Bags/Boxes for Local Fire Houses, Part Two
We are encouraging local churches to support their local fire house by connecting with them, praying for them, and gifting them items they can use. Potential items include:
Bottled water
Gift cards to Food Lion, Wal-Mart, Harris Teeter, etc. for food/meal supply purchases
Healthy snacks
Baked goods
Writing pens
Connect with your local fire house to see which items are needed and if they have additional needs not listed above. When you make your deliveries, pray for the firefighters and take pictures of your deliveries. Then share those with us so we can celebrate God’s gracious work in our area.
